Dr Anindita Santosa is a rheumatologist at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore.
Her clinical interests span a variety of autoimmune and rheumatic conditions, including arthritis, osteoporosis and complex connective tissue diseases, with a particular focus on systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic sclerosis and connective-tissue-disease-associated pulmonary hypertension. She is also interested in immunologic disorders such as allergies and immunodeficiencies.
Before entering private practice, Dr Santosa was a consultant and the head of the division of rheumatology at Changi General Hospital (CGH).
She graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS). She earned her membership in in the Royal College of Physicians of London, UK and refined her specialty in rheumatology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital’s (TTSH) department of rheumatology, allergy and immunology. Dr Santosa obtained her master’s degree in allergy from Imperial College London, UK and completed a 2-year clinical training programme in clinical immunology and allergy at the National University Hospital Singapore, TTSH and Singapore General Hospital.
While at CGH, Dr Santosa started a combined connective tissue disease-associated pulmonary arterial hypertension service with cardiology. She also led the SingHealth RheumConnect chatbot project, enhancing patient education and facilitating early diagnosis of autoimmune diseases, and started the Nailfold capillaroscopy service at CGH.
Besides her clinical work, she is a core faculty in the SingHealth internal medicine residency programme, faculty member at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and clinical assistant professor at Duke-NUS Medical School. Dr Santosa participates in the Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology, contributing to global discussions on digital health advancements. She also has an interest in clinical research. She was a site principal investigator and collaborator of several clinical trials in systemic sclerosis and systemic lupus erythematosus. She is also involved with the National Arthritis Foundation and the Lupus Association of Singapore.
Dr Santosa has won several Singapore Health Quality Service awards.
