Dr Adrian Ooi is a plastic surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore.
He is experienced in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. His aesthetic surgery specialties include upper and lower blepharoplasty, face and neck lift, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, body contouring procedures and minimally invasive procedures. His reconstructive focus is managing complex reconstructive cases.
He also has a special interest in skin cancer management, reconstructive surgery of the head and neck and breast, robotic plastic surgery, and lymphedema surgery.
Dr Ooi was a former consultant plastic surgeon in the department of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at Singapore General Hospital (SGH). He is currently a visiting consultant at SGH.
He attended medical school in London, where he graduated with distinction, and returned to Singapore to complete his plastic surgery training at SGH. After his residency, he furthered his training with advanced fellowships in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. Under a scholarship from the Ministry of Health, he spent one year at the University of Chicago Medical Center, training in reconstructive microsurgery. Following this, he completed his aesthetic fellowship at Wellington Hospital in London.
He was appointed the programme director of the SingHealth plastic surgery residency programme, and subsequently the Singapore Integrated Programme for plastic surgery.
Since 2010, he has performed more than 3,000 surgeries and is one of two da Vinci robot-trained plastic surgeons in Singapore.
He has spoken at various regional and international conferences, and is widely published with multiple articles and book chapters in peer-reviewed journals and international publications. He is also actively involved in research and education of medical students and trainees. He is an adjunct assistant professor at Duke-NUS Medical School.
In addition, he participates in yearly volunteer medical mission trips.
Dr Ooi is a recipient of the SingHealth Service with a Heart Award.
