Dr Razmi Bin Rahmat is an orthopaedic surgeon practising at Parkway East Hospital, Singapore.
His special interests are in managing all forms of spinal conditions, arthritis, general orthopaedics, osteoporosis and trauma surgery.
He completed his postgraduate degree in 1996. He has received MOH scholarships to further his surgical skills development in basic surgery and orthopaedic surgery, and was subsequently awarded a clinical fellowship at the Spinal Unit, Department of Orthopaedic and Trauma, Royal Adelaide Hospital in Adelaide, Australia.
Dr Razmi has published several reputable peer reviewed spine journals, presented at many international meetings and is a member of the AOSpine International, an association dedicated in improving spine patient surgical outcomes and ensuring cost effective spine surgery.
In 2003, he was selected to represent Singapore in the Junior ASEAN Orthopaedic Travelling Fellowship, where he spent a month travelling around the ASEAN region to share as well as learn with the leading surgeons in the region. Despite his busy schedule, Dr Razmi makes time for voluntary work. He provided medical coverage for Singapore Haj pilgrims in 1991, 1992, 1994 and 2000.
His current research interests are in repair and regeneration of diseased spinal discs using autologous chondrocytes transplantation. He has collaborated with the Adelaide Centre for Spinal Research for this work.
Dr Razmi is currently practicing at Parkway East Hospital, Gleneagles Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
