Dr Sim Hong Gee is a urologist practising in Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore.
Dr Sim has research interests in genitourinary cancer, especially in prostate cancer biomarkers and cancer epigenetics.
Dr Sim is experienced in treating a wide variety of general urologic conditions, including benign prostate enlargement, urinary stone obstruction, urinary incontinence, male subfertility, pelvi-ureteric junction obstruction, ureteric and urethral strictures (narrowing of the urinary passages) using minimally invasive endoscopic, laparoscopic and robotic techniques.
He graduated from the National University of Singapore’s (NUS’) School of Medicine in 1994 and completed his general surgery and urology training in the Singapore General Hospital (SGH). He subsequently completed his subspecialty training under the Society of Urologic Oncology fellowship at the University of Washington and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in USA.
Dr Sim attained his certification in robotic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, cancer surgery, and transplant surgery.
He is currently the president of the Singapore Urological Association and an adjunct assistant professor at NUS’ Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
Prior to private practice, Dr Sim was the director of urologic oncology at SGH and the chairman for Chapter of Urologists, College of Surgeons in Singapore.
