Dr Ker Khor Jia is a dermatologist at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore.
Her subspecialties include lasers and dermatologic surgery, immunodermatology, and paediatric dermatology.
She is also experienced in conditions related to eczema, immune-related skin diseases and hair disorders.
She underwent paediatric dermatology and immunodermatology fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, USA in 2015.
Prior to private practice, Dr Ker was a consultant dermatologist at the National Skin Centre, where she was the deputy head of the immunodermatology unit, and a core clinician in the divisions of paediatric dermatology, dermatologic and laser surgery units.
She is currently a visiting consultant to the paediatric dermatology clinic at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and the immunodermatology clinic at the National Skin Centre.
She is a member of several dermatologic societies in USA, including Society for Pediatric Dermatology, Rheumatologic Dermatology Society and Medical Dermatology Society. In addition, she is a course instructor in the Dermatological Society of Singapore Aesthetic Practice Competency Course.
She volunteers regularly with health screenings at MINDS (Movement for Intellectually Disabled of Singapore) and Tzu Chi free clinics, and has participated in several overseas humanitarian mission trips to Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia and Sri Lanka.
Dr Ker is the recipient of several awards including the National Healthcare Group Teaching Award for junior clinicians in 2014, and the Healthcare Humanity Award (for active involvement in community and overseas humanitarian work) in 2017.
